# Failover

> Moving activity to another connected provider automatically when one becomes unavailable.

Failover keeps a service running when a provider has a problem. If one connection is degraded or unavailable, activity is moved to another available connection configured for the same capability, and the people running the network are told what happened. The organisation's customers keep the same experience throughout.
